They are 100% not willing to make any effort to resolve or assist with the issue. The shops I consulted have confirmed that engine failure of this magnitude is not something that happens within 3 months, and that it was a pre-existing issue.
I bought a 2008 Ford F250 truck from Crencor Auto Leasing and Sales in Madison, TN in June of this year. I barely had the truck for 3 months and the engine has failed, resulting in the need for a new motor. I have placed the truck in 2 different reputable shops in the last month to properly diagnose the issue. Both shops have confirmed the truck needs a new short block (engine.) Both shops quoted me a price of $11,000 to fix the issue.
"You (myself) have big 'cahoots' being a woman and approaching us in a male dominated society."
If I ever need another vehicle in the future I will definitely use Crencor Leasing and Sales. I will recommend it to any of my friends needing a truck, suv or van.
Now that can be taken several ways. I personally took it as a very sexist way of saying " look how cute you are thinking you can do something about this" and that I had "balls" to come speak with them. Please excuse the crudeness of that statement.
When I posted this story on Facebook, people started coming out from the woodwork saying they've heard this place does shady business, or that they were also a victim of their unethical business practices. Everyone says they were screwed on a vehicle that worked fine for a month or so then started having Major issues. Do you see a pattern here???
On top of the sexist, almost sexually harrassing comment, the manager did not even know (and argued with me) that the truck I had purchased was in fact a diesel truck, which further proves my point of ignorance and inability to run a legitimate business.
Drove 700 mi for vehicle Matt described as worth $600 above top NADA book b/c of exceptional condition. Filthy interior, Rear tire tread 3/32nds. Battery cables corroded. Coolant brown. YUK!
The manager was very friendly as well and didn’t use any insulting sales techniques such as the four square and didn’t push me to buy any extras or insurance. The whole process had a relaxed feel to it free from the anxiety and irritation that a lot of car dealers cause. It was very quick as well. I think the whole process of the paperwork took about an hour.
Traded my Nissan Sentra for a Lexus IS 350. These guys took care of me and assisted quite well in my financial situation. Ended up with lower payments and a better vehicle, and the deal was pretty good considering what I owed on the Nissan. The process was rather fast all things considered, and the information was plainly related as the purchase was made. All around, I am very satisfied with the experience.
I recently traded my Hummer H3 in for an H2 they had on the lot. Not only did they allow me the highest value trade in for my vehicle according to Kelly Blue Book, but I believe that I got a good price on the H2 especially since my trade in had negative equity.
I have only had this truck for 3 months ( I made 3 payments on it), and bought it on good faith from the dealership. I did some research, and found out that I am not the only person that has had this SAME problem from Crencor motors.
The manager also made a comment (for which my father was present for) that:
I bought an 03 duramax from crencor ....two days latter the truck wont start ....turns out they sold me a truck with a bad fuel filter .....when i asked what they. Could do about it they told me to bring my truck in and they would trade me out for a new truck ....so i went there and they told me to take it to the dealer and that they could do nothing. About it . i will never shop here again nor would i recommend it as an honorable truck sale......
I have sent this story to the BBB, all of the news stations, and possibly an attorney.
I dealt with Vincent as the salesperson. He was very courteous and friendly and didn’t mind that my preferred way to correspond was via text messages. He was willing to work with me to get everything I needed from the financing aspect. He also got the manager to allow me 24 hours from the purchase to have the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic (the car was in great shape by the way). He even gave me this agreement in writing.
